Muse, Lily Allen and Gnarls Barkley lead the nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards with three apiece, it has been announced today (January 16).

Muse are up for British Group, Mastercard British Album for ‘Black Holes And Revelations’ and Live Act.

Allen scooped nominations for British Female Solo Artist, Mastercard British Album for ‘Alright, Still’ and British Breakthrough Act. She is also on the British Single Shortlist for ‘Smile’.

Gnarls Barkley are up for International Group, International Album for ‘St Elsewhere’ and International Breakthrough Act.

Double nominees announced at Hammersmith Palais in west London include Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, Bob Dylan, Scissor Sisters and Amy Winehouse.

The ceremony will take place on February 14 at London’s Earls Court, and will be hosted by Russell Brand.
