'Insider information' hints about next release date

Muse could be set to release their next album in September, followed by a European tour, "an insider close to the band's record label, Warners" has claimed.

Muse fan site Microcuts.net suggestes that the band's yet-to-be-titled fifth studio album is slated for a September release, thanking a Warner associate for the information.

Last November bassist Chris Wolstenholme wrote to fans, saying that "it would be nice" for the band to be able to release the album "in the second half" of 2009, but added that they were not working to a strict schedule.

"It is more important for us to make the best album we have made to date," he wrote, "and if that means it comes out in 2010 then we don't mind".

The band's last stdio album was 'Black Holes And Revelations' in 2006.

As a huge Muse fan, I cannot wait for the new album and tour. I hope they start the tour in the UK and then go around the Europe and then ending back in the UK again. That would be good.

It's very realistic the album has been in production since early part of 08 and there's also been rumors about some arenas in Europe taking bookings from there management. Eitherway I can't wait for it MUSE 4 LIFE.

Museician - you and people like you are the reason a lot of people don't like Muse fans. If you're referring to aphexbin's comment, then I think he is right, this is a load of rubbish and I doubt the new album will be finished by then. He wasn't hating. Learn to read.

Im sooooo excited - I dont think september is unrealistic - cant wait to hear the new material and loving the buzz that is starting already and the twitter pics on musewire of the band recording - good luck in the awards next week lads you deserve to win them all - i love you loads and have voted about a hundred times xxxx
