Muse would 'say yes' to James Bond theme song Muse Tickets

Band would 'give it a good go', says Dominic Howard

Muse drummer Dominic Howard has said that the band would be up for recording the theme song to a forthcoming James Bond film.

Howard told BBC News that he was confident that the trio could tackle the task and has suggested that the Devon band's tendency towards the epic would suit such a film.

"It's something we'd probably say yes to, or at least give it a good go," he said. "Certainly some of our music fits with the James Bond vibe – and I think it could work. "'United States Of Eurasia' [from new album 'The Resistance'] could have worked but it's probably a bit late for that now.

"It's a bit weird in the Hollywood world, because you spend a lot time being told what to do and that's a bit of a pain because we like to do what we want. So, I think if you can find a director you can really relate to and it's a great film and you know you can work well together, then it could be a possibility."

'The Resistance', Muse's fifth studio album, was released on Monday (September 14). Listen to it in full by clicking on the We7 widget below.
