England fast bowler Jimmy Anderson has tweeted that Muse have inspired the team ahead of the fourth Ashes Test in Melbourne next week.

The Test runs from December 26-30, with England currently tied 1-1 with Australia in the series. Anderson wrote that he'd taken some time out by watching Matt Bellamy's band's gig at Perth's Bassendean Oval last night (December 19).

"Went to see Muse last night," Anderson tweeted on hisTwitter page, "They showed us how to play in Perth. Up there with the best live band I've seen."

Meanwhile, Muse cold face the wrath of Australian authorities after bassist Chris Wolstenholme flaunted venue rules by smoking a cigarette during their gig at Melbourne's Ron Laver Arena on December 14, reports the Herald Sun.
