Fans hail Muse's 'Origin Of Symmetry' Leeds Festival show

Band's 2001 album goes down a storm at Bramham Park

Muse fans have come out in force to praise the band for bringing their 2001 album 'Origin Of Symmetry' to their headline set at Leeds Festival last night (August 26).

The band, who performed the album in its entirety followed by a greatest hits set at Bramham Park, were largely championed for their setlist choice by NME.COM users who watched their show.

George Anderson wrote that the performance was a treat for the trio's hardcore following. "I thought it was absolutely brilliant, as a diehard fan it couldn't have been better," he wrote.

Graham Speight agreed, and hailed the show as the greatest of the three-day event so far. "Best performance of the weekend, could see no-one else and I'd be happy," he added.

Others praised the show, which featured giant forks from the album's artwork, fire shooting from the stage, fireworks and huge bouncing eyeballs. "It was amazing, the lights and stuff on the screen behind were very good," wrote Joe Cairns.

Many fans have been picking out 'Plug In Baby' as the highlight of the show.

A small number of festivalgoers wrote that they were disappointed with the two-hour show. "The same old thing, overrated," declared Josephine Wais. Francis Wilson agreed, bluntly describing their set as "shit".
