Muse's Matt Bellamy reveals his son's heartbeat will feature on 'The 2nd Law'
Singer recorded Bingham Bellamy's heartbeat on his iPhone and has placed it on the track 'Follow Me'
Bingham was born on July 9 this year to Bellamy and his fiancée Kate Hudson and the singer has revealed that he recorded his son's heartbeat just before he was born and featured it on a track named 'Follow Me', which is on the band's new album.
As well as this, Bellamy told Rolling Stone that he expected 'The 2nd Law' would surprise fans as it contained both classic rock and electro pop.
He said of this: "There are electro-pop sounds and songs that are obviously classic rock. Then there are the orchestral things. 'The 2nd Law' would sound like three different bands if it wasn't for my voice."
Bellamy also spoke about working with arranger David Campbell, who worked on overdubs with the band.
He said of this: "He understood that film-music thing we were looking for and he found a lot of amazing people, including a trumpeter who played on Stevie Wonder's 'Superstition'."
'The 2nd Law' is due to be released on October 1 in the UK and October 2 in the US and includes recent single 'Survival' and dubstep-influenced track 'The 2nd Law: Unsustainable', which you can hear at the bottom of the page. The 13-track album is the follow-up to 2009's 'The Resistance' and has been recorded in London.
The Devon trio will tour the UK in October, playing five shows. The gigs begin at Glasgow's SECC on October 24, before the band move onto London's O2 Arena for two shows on October 26 and 27. They then play Birmingham LG Arena on October 30 before finishing up at Manchester Arena on November 1.
