Muse's Matt Bellamy has said that his former neighbour George Clooney is a 'chilled guy'.

The singer and guitarist used to be a resident of Lake Como in Italy, where Hollywood actor Clooney also has a property. Asked by NME if the pair ever spent time together, Bellamy revealed that they did not but that he had spotted the A-List star a number of times. Asked if he ever borrowed a pint of milk from his neighbour, Bellamy said: "No, he never", but he added: "I saw him go past on his motorbike a number of times."

Bellamy says:

I've met him since then but I never met him in Como. Nice guy, very mellow, very chilled out. He likes to ride around on his Harley.

Muse kicked off their European tour in Montpellier, France this week, revealing their spectacular new live show as well as playing rare songs from their early years.

The band, who released new album 'The 2nd Law' earlier this year, performed at the Park & Suites Arena in Montpellier and opened their set with new song 'Unsustainable'. Other new songs played included the singles 'Madness' and 'Survival' as well as album tracks 'Supremacy', 'Panic Station' and 'Animals'. However, it was the band playing 'Falling Down', taken from debut album 'Showbiz', that impressed fans the most, as the track has not been seen on a setlist since 2000.
