Muse named Best Act In The World at Q Awards

Blur, Pulp, Johnny Marr and Brandon Flowers all scoop prizes

Blur, Manic Street Preachers and Johnny Marr were amongst the winners at the Q Awards, held in London earlier today (October 22).

The annual awards were hosted by The Pub Landlord Al Murray at the Grosvenor Hotel, and saw The Cribs, Django Django and Plan B all collecting awards with Bobby Womack walking away with the prestigious Best Album prize.

Blur were awarded Best Live Act on the back of their reunion and Hyde Park gig. Johnny Marr was named Q Hero while the Manics' 'Generation Terrorists' album was named a Q Classic Album.

Other winners at the awards included Underworld, Pulp, Dexys, Brandon Flowers and Keane.
