Run The Jewels tease new music video with fake TV news page

It features a clock counting down to this Friday

Run The Jewels are teasing the release of a new music video with a mysterious countdown clock on their website.

The rap duo have set up a page which is designed to look like a TV news report – complete with a ‘RTJ NEWS’ logo. It is currently counting down to this Friday (December 15). Check out the site here.

Fans will receive a text message after calling the ‘Emergency Tip Line’ displayed on the site. It’s also been reported that you can hear talk of ‘strange weather patterns’ in New York after dialling.

Soundtracking the page is a beat from ‘Call Ticketron’ – which suggests that a music video for the ‘RTJ3’ track is incoming. According to a Twitter user, “the website’s source code indicates that the “Call Ticketron” video is indeed what RTJ are teasing.”

Meanwhile, Run The Jewels have been announced as support for the huge Queens of The Stone Age show set to take place in London’s Finsbury Park next summer. They join a stellar undercard of The Hives and Iggy Pop. Elsewhere, they recently paired up with Boston producer Statik Selektah for the single ‘Put Jewels On It’.

The hip-hop duo – who consist of Atlanta rapper Killer Mike and producer/rapper El-P – released their last LP in January this year.

Run The Jewels first formed in 2013, the same year they released their self-titled debut album. ‘Run The Jewels 2’ followed in October 2014, which was released on Mass Appeal/RED.
