50 Cent charged with unsafe driving

'Lane changing' drama

50 Cent was stopped for unsafe driving by police in New York yesterday (September 8).

His silver Lamborghini was pulled over, a crowd gathered took photos and jeered the police as they cheered the rapper.

50 Cent received a citation for unsafe lane change, driving with an expired permit, driving without insurance and driving without vehicle registration, the BBC reports.

He was taken to a police station but released when a friend turned up with proof that that 50 Cent owned the car.

The rapper could have to pay £118 in fines and surcharges, officers said.

As previously reported by NME.COM, the rapper is set to produce LL Cool J‘s new album.
