Single 'Hello' was released today, with the album due on November 20
Twitter buzz around the launch of Adele‘s debut single from new album ’25’ peaked at an incredible 1,600 tweets per minute today, as ‘Hello’ became the singer’s first new song since 2012 Bond theme ‘Skyfall’.
The new single and album announcement has attracted more than 1.3 million tweets over the course of this week, and has seen the singer top trending charts in the UK, USA, France, Brazil and Thailand.
Adele revealed the artwork and release date of November 20 this week, and has recently described the album as a ‘make up record’. She scrapped an earlier version of the album, which focused on being a mum, as she thought it was “pretty boring”.
The video for ‘Hello’ was shot in the countryside surrounding Montreal, Canada and was directed by director Xavier Dolan (Mommy, Tom at the Farm).

Adele also revealed today that she has no plans to headline Glastonbury, due to the size of the audiences at the iconic festival. Adele has never been a fan of festivals, and said:
“I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury. The crowds are too big – I don’t know if I could do it. I went this year to watch Kanye [West] and I literally just crapped my pants on the size of the audience. It was pretty insane.”
The full track listing for ’25’ is:
‘Send My Love (To Your New Lover)’
‘I Miss You’
‘When We Were Young’
‘Water Under The Bridge’
‘Love In The Dark’
