Vitalli Sediuk arrested and charged with trespass
A man who briefly invaded the stage when Adele won a Grammy Award this weekend has been revealed to be a TV presenter from Ukraine.
The brief interruption happened at Sunday’s (February 10) event when Adele went up to the stage to accept her award for Best Pop Solo Performance from Jennifer Lopez. The Hollywood Reporter claims that the man’s name is Vitalli Sediuk and that he had got into the ceremony without a ticket. According to reports, Sediuk seated himself in a space near to Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, a seat originally saved for Adam Levine of Maroon 5.
When Adele was on stage to accept her award, Sediuk was seen briefly making his way toward her. Scroll down to see video footage. However, he was waved off stage by Lopez and was heard shouting “It’s such an honour to receive this award. I love you, Adele.”
Sediuk. who presents a show called 1+1 in Ukraine was reportedly held backstage by security then arrested on suspicion of trespass and detained overnight. It is believed he will face charges in court next month.
Mumford & Sons, Adele and The Black Keys all scooped up Grammy Awards at the ceremony. The Black Keys bagged the most success overall, winning four of the six awards for which they had been shortlisted, including Best Rock Song and Best Rock Album for ‘El Camino’.
