'21' songstress wants to be able to fly in and out of her luxury new pad…
Adele has applied for a helicopter landing licence for her new multi-million pound mansion.
The ’21’ songstress, who showed off the new £7 million luxury pad in West Sussex last week, is reportedly tired of traveling by car and wants to be able to fly in and out of her home.
“Adele’s property has so much land she thought, ‘Why not?’,” a source told The Sun. “It will cut down her journey time by some distance and it also means she won’t have to rely so heavily on cars.”
She’s a busy woman and needs to get to places with minimal disruption.
However, it appears unlikely that the Tottenham-singer will follow in the footsteps of fellow musicians such as Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson and Gary Numan, both of whom are known to love flying airplanes, and apply for her own pilots license.
Last week (February 15), Adele denied that she is planning to take a five-year break from music.
The singer was quoted on Tuesday (February 14) as saying she wanted to“fuck off for four or five years” to focus on her relationship with new boyfriend Simon Konecki, and would only return when she can write a “happy record”, but she has now backtracked on those comments.
Adele has been nominated in three categories at this evening’s Brit Awards, which will take place at the O2 Arena, and is the bookies’ favourite to take home the gongs for Best British Album for ’21’, Best British Single for ‘Someone Like You’ and Best British Female Solo Artist.
