Wolverhampton shows to be rescheduled as singer recovers from bronchitis
Adele has shelved more dates on her UK tour after failing to recover from her ongoing illness.
The Tottenham soul singer was due to play at Wolverhampton’s Civic Hall last night and tonight (September 10 and 11) but the dates will now be rescheduled as she is still suffering from bronchitis.
A statement on her website, Adele.tv, explained:
It is with regret that due to continuing problems with a serious cold and chest infection, Adele has had to postpone her shows this weekend in Wolverhampton. on Saturday September 10th and Sunday September 11th. Her doctors have insisted she recovers fully before returning to the tour.
The opening dates of the tour in Cardiff, Blackpool, Bournemouth and Plymouth were were postponed earlier this month, while the singer was unable to perform at the Mercury Prize ceremony earlier this week (6) due to the illness.
Organisers have said the shows will be rescheduled at the earlier opportunity with refunds available from the point of purchase.
The next scheduled gig of the tour is in Leicester on Tuesday (13), with dates in Newcastle, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Glasgow lined up before the end of the month.
