Singer reveals she's going back in the studio later this year
Adele has dropped a strong hint that she’s recording the theme for the next James Bond film.
According to The Sun, the Tottenham soul singer let the secret slip during an appearance on Jonathan Ross’ new chat show, which is due to start tonight (September 3).
After revealing that she is going back into the studio in November, she said:
Well, this is actually a theme. Wow, that’s really giving something away.
Ross then hummed the signature Bond theme, to which an apparently embarrassed Adele responded: “It’s a concept. One song.”
The full chat will air on The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV 1 at 9.45pm (GMT) tonight.
The as-yet-untitled new Bond film, the 23rd in the series, is due to hit cinema screens sometime next year, with Daniel Craig returning in the lead role.
Jack White and Alicia Keys provided the main title theme for the last Bond film, 2008’s Quantum Of Solace. Their track ‘Another Way To Die’ reached Number 9 in the official UK charts.
The likes of Madonna, Chris Cornell, Garbage, Sheryl Crow, Tina Turner and Duran Duran have provided the theme for the long-running spy franchise over the last few decades.
