Plus the singer has collaborated with Jack Penate

Adele has revealed that she had a recent songwriting session with Jack White of The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.

The singer said that the pair had booked studio time together, but the session had to be cancelled so White had time to record ‘Another Way To Die’, the theme song to the recent James Bond film ‘Quantum Of Solace’.

The pair had previously collaborated on a version of The Raconteurs‘ song ‘Many Shades Of Black’, which appeared on a deluxe version of Adele‘s debut album, ’19’.

“I was well annoyed with him [White] because we’d arranged studio time together but then he had to go and record the James Bond theme tune,” she told the Daily Star.

She added, “But we ended up doing some stuff in London. He’s a good laugh and I’d like to do more.”

Adele went on to reveal that she sings backing vocals on the forthcoming second album by fellow Londoner Jack Penate.

“I’ve done some backing vocals for Jack‘s new album too,” she said. “He’s one of my best mates.

“It’s very exciting stuff. It’s not as indie or guitar driven as his first album. People are going to be surprised.”
