Adele, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar to perform at Grammy Awards 2016

The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on February 15

The live performers for this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony have been announced, with Adele topping the bill.

LL Cool J will host the 2016 Grammy Awards from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 15.

The Associated Press has confirmed that Adele will be joined on the night by the likes of Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd and country group Little Big Town.

“This line-up of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music’s biggest night. We look forward to celebrating what’s been a wonderful year in music, honouring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances,” Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said of the news.

Rapper Lamar has been nominated for eleven Grammy Awards in total.

The rapper, whose album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ was voted Number Two in NME’s Albums Of The Year poll for 2015, is up for Album of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Alright’.

His other nominations include best rap album, rap performance, pop duo/group performance for ‘Bad Blood’ with Taylor Swift and dance recording for ‘Never Catch Me’ with Flying Lotus. He’s nominated twice for both best rap song with ‘Alright’ and for co-writing Kanye West’s ‘All Day’, as well as best music video.
