The star arrives on stage 45 minutes late at Kings' College - and those that leave miss an energetic set...
Alanis Morissette kept a small crowd of fans and invited guests waiting for almost an hour last night (January 23) at her low-key showcase gig in LONDON.
Billed as ‘An Evening With Alanis Morissette’, the show at Kings’ College had been due to kick off at 7.30. By the time the Canadian multi-million seller took to the stage around 8.15, after getting delayed being filmed by the BBC, a small section of the assembled guests had sloped off. They missed a greatest hits collection that was liberally sprinkled with tracks from forthcoming new album ‘Under Rug Swept’.
The new tracks included current single ‘Hands Clean’, ‘So Unsexy’ and ’21 Things’, each keeping close to her distinctive angst-rock style.
Alanis Morissette said little during the 45-minute set, but was in energised form throughout and clearly excited to be back on a UK stage.
