Comedy film 'AIC 23' also features members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden
The clip called ‘AIC 23’ features members of the band as spoof characters. It follows Alan Poole McLard, a film studies professor at a community college, who is trying to make a documentary film about the band to coincide with the release of their new album, ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’. You can watch the clip below.
Without the cooperation of members of Alice In Chains, Alan does his best to interview rock legends including Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo from Metallica, Ann and Nancy Wilson from Heart, Mike McCready from Pearl Jam, Kim Thayil from Soundgarden and ex-Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan.
Alice In Chains release their brand new album ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’ on May 27. The LP is the follow-up to their 2009 comeback album ‘Black Gives Way To Blue’, their first in 14 years, and the first following the death of original singer Layne Staley in 2002. Although Elton John appeared on their previous record and despite their cameo-heavy mockumentary, guitarist Jerry Cantrell said the new record won’t feature any guest stars. The band have so far announced just one UK date, appearing on the main stage of Download festival on Saturday June 15.
