US actor is a fan of the British band and recently invited them to play live at his house
Alt-J met Breaking Bad actor Aaron Paul at Lollapalooza this weekend, making up for missing the opportunity to play at his house earlier in the year.
Paul, who plays Jesse Pinkman in the hit US show about a pair of crystal meth manufacturers, revealed he is a big fan of the Mercury Music Prize winners Alt-J earlier this year when he tweeted the band and asked if they wanted to play a gig at his house. They were unable to oblige at the time but managed to link up with the actor backstage at the Chicago festival this weekend.
Tweeting the following picture, Alt-J wrote: “Yeah Bitch!”, a play on Jesse Pinkman’s Breaking Bad catchphrase. Aaron Paul replied by writing “Thanks for the music boys! The gig tonight was brilliant. Thanks for having us.” to the band.

Alt-J recently made an appearance alongside Jake Bugg and Ben Howard on a mixtape Prime Minster David Cameron gave to a selection of heads of state, including Barack Obama last month. The 10-song playlist, which came on a USB stick, was also given to world leaders such as Vladimir Putin and Angela Merkel at the G8 summit in Northern Ireland by the British PM. The tracklisting was compiled for Cameron by the British Phonographic Industry
Breaking Bad returns for the second part of its final season this Sunday (August 11). The show will air on Netflix in the UK 24 hours later. Aaron Paul will follow his time on the show with an appearance in Need For Speed, a movie adaptation of the popular computer game.
