Dresden Dolls frontwoman will sing and writer husband will read from his work at London shows

Former Dresden Dolls frontwoman Amanda Palmer is set to hit the road with her fantasy novel and screenwriting husband Neil Gaiman.

Palmer will play a show at a secret, historic London venue on September 5, while Gaiman will perform a reading at the same place the day before.

Palmer will be playing a run of UK shows towards the end of summer as part of a European tour. Though she normally performs solo, for these dates she will be joined by her all-new backing band.

Before her headline dates under her own name, Palmer will be appearing for a week-long stint at the Edinburgh Festival in her Evelyn Evelyn guise. The band is a collaboration with Jason Webley, for which the pair take on the roles of conjoined twins who are also singer-songwriters.

Amanda Palmer plays:

Edinburgh HMV Picture House (August 25)
Glasgow The Arches (26)
Brighton Concorde (September 1)
London Heaven (2)
London Secret Venue (4)
London Secret Venue (5)

Evelyn Evelyn play:
