Amazing Baby discuss new album

Brooklyn band ready highly anticipated debut

Hotly tipped Brooklyn band Amazing Baby have revealed that they are putting the finishing touches on their debut album, which they intend to release this summer.

The Brooklyn five-piece have been busy recording the album, which they revealed to NME.COM will likely be called ‘Rewilders’.

“We’re done with the record and we just heard the master,” said frontman Will Roan.

The band explained that they demoed each song in their bedrooms, as they did with their recent EP, but jumped at the opportunity to record the album at the renowned Electric Lady studio built by Jimmy Hendrix in New York.

Track titles include ‘Bayonets’, ‘Invisible Palace’, ‘The Narwhal’, ‘Roverfrenz’ and ‘Caribbean Winter’. “Most of our song titles are discarded band names,” Roan explained. “‘Roverfrenz’ is west Africa meets reggae, kind of Thom Thom Club and very upbeat,” he said.

Amazing Baby also revealed that they intend to release a handful of tracks that didn’t make the album’s final cut separately as digital downloads, on vinyl and in other formats in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the band just finished a handful of shows at Austin’s South by Southwest and will continue to tour the US until April, when they’ll head across the pond for several UK dates.

The new album tracklisting is:

‘Bayonets’
‘Invisible Palace’
‘Kankra’
‘Head Dress’
‘Dead Light’
‘Dear Rpper’
‘Old Tricks In Hell’
‘The Narwhal’
‘Roverfrenz’
‘Smoke Bros’
‘Pump Yr Breaks’
‘Caribbean Winter’
