Singer dedicates song to jailed 'Blake' at Oxegen
The singer told the crowd Blake Fielder-Civil was due to leave prison soon as she performed ‘Wake Up Alone’.
Before she sang the track, she said: “This one is for Blakey, yeah. He’s out in nine days.”
Her set, which saw huge sections of the crowd singing along to hit singles ‘Rehab’, ‘Back To Black’ and The Zutons cover ‘Valerie’, came as Amy Winehouse’s father Mitch Winehouse announced the singer would play just five more shows before quitting live shows after September.
He also said he hoped his daughter would begin writing a follow-up album to ‘Back To Black’.
The singer, who was sporting a flowery white dress, was well-received by the large crowd throughout her performance, but said very little.
Amy Winehouse played:
‘Tears Dry On Their Own’
‘Back To Black’
‘Wake Up Alone’
‘Some Unholy War’
‘Love Is A Losing Game’
‘Hey Little Rich Girl’
‘You’re Wondering Now’
‘You Know I’m No Good’
‘Me And Mr Jones’
