Star's father reveals she could visit a clinic soon
Amy Winehouse’s father, Mitch Winehouse, has revealed that the star is currently considering entering drug rehab to tackle her drug problems.
As previously-reported on NME.COM, Winehouse has cancelled all touring commitments for the rest of 2007, citing that she can’t perform without support from her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who is currently on remand in prison waiting to enter a plea after being charged with perverting the course of justice.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Mitch Winehouse said that “all options” were being considered, referring to the possibility of his daughter entering rehab.
He added that his daughter was “sorry for her fans” for the cancellations, and that a rest period is in her “best interests”.
Winehouse briefly entered a rehab centre in Essex after suffering from a drug overdose in August.
