'Dirty Gold' will now be released on December 30
Angel[A/] Haze’s debut album ‘Dirty Gold’ will be released officially on December 30 after she leaked the album online yesterday (December 18).
The LP was due to drop on March 3, 2014, but Haze wanted to release it this year because it was finished. It was available to download for free on the artist’sSoundcloud, but now appears to be deleted. Scroll up to hear Angel Haze talk to NME about the album.
Explaining her reasons for leaking the album and announcing the new release date on Twitter, Angel Haze wrote: “It’s hard to put at risk everything I’ve spent this year working on but I had to. For both me and you guys. No one should ever be afforded the opportunity to fuck with your dreams. Regardless of who they are. They do not own you or your faith or your future and because of what you guys helped me show them. My labels have agreed to release ‘Dirty Gold’ December 30th. UK & US. (Rest of the world, we are coming for you as well)”
The artwork for ‘Dirty Gold’ was released earlier this week (December 16) alongside a lyric video for Haze’s newest single ‘A Tribe Called Red’.
The album features production from Greg Kurstin ([a]Lily Allen, Tegan and Sara) and Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons) and includes a track written by Australian singer-songwriter Sia, who has penned recent hits for Rihanna and Rita Ora. Its tracklisting is as follows:
