Angel Haze and Iggy Azalea team up on new version of Watch The Throne track ‘Otis’ – listen

Rap duo release their own version of Jay-Z and Kanye West track

Angel Haze and Iggy Azalea have released a recorded version of their cover of ‘Otis’ by Jay-Z and Kanye West.

The track, which originally appeared on the 2011 collaborative album ‘Watch The Throne’, was first performed by Haze and Azalea at a recent London gig at the Scala venue in Kings Cross. Playing the song that night, Haze said: “No more pitting your favourite female rappers against each other. We are the future of rap.” “Angel’s always going to have a friend in me,” added Iggy Azalea. “I support her. She’s a fucking star. She’s the future.”

Meanwhile, Iggy Azalea ranted on Twitter last night after stating that she had been misquoted when appearing to criticise Nicki Minaj. Taking exception to a story reported by Digital Spy, Azalea tweeted: “FYI. I never critized Nicki Ninaj’s album, “Digital Spy” and Robert Copsey can kiss my pretty white asshole for trying to pull that shit.” adding: “I specifically said that nothing was meant in a negative way and that I liked and was a fan of the album”.

Angel Haze recently confirmed to NME that her album is due for release in October. “I keep recording all the songs for it and now there’s so many that I don’t know which to choose. I wake up in the night scared one song’s going to fuck the entire album up.”
