Posters for a band called The Reflektors have begun springing up in Brooklyn
Arcade Fire are rumoured to be playing two secret gigs next weekend (October 19-20) in New York.
As the Arcade Fire Tube Twitter account has pointed out, posters bearing the name The Reflektors – the name the band went under for their surprise shows in Montreal last month – have begun springing up in Brooklyn. You can see the poster below:

No venue has been announced so far, but, just like their previous secret shows, fans have been asked to wear formal attire or costume to the gig.
Meanwhile, Arcade Fire have teased new track ‘Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice)’ in a short video. The 34-second clip, which you can watch by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking ‘play’, shows the band recording in the studio along with footage of Haiti. There is no singing in the clip, just a warm droning sound.
Last month, the band debuted three new tracks from their forthcoming album ‘Reflektor’ during a comeback appearance on US TV. During the season premiere of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, the group unveiled new track ‘Afterlife’ for the first time. The comedy show, where the band performed and took part in sketches, was followed by a half-hour long TV special focusing on Arcade Fire, directed by Roman Coppola.
Arcade Fire will release their new album ‘Reflektor’ on October 29.
