Arcade Fire have bagged the first UK Number One of their career today (August 8), with new album ‘The Suburbs’ going straight to the top of the Albums Chart.

The Canadian band saw off competition from Eminem‘s ‘Recovery’ to claim the top slot.

In the Singles Chart, Ne-Yo is new in at Number One with ‘Beautiful Monster’. Last week’s Number One single ‘All Time Low’ by new boy band The Wanted is at to Number Five.
