Group will hit the road this summer

Arcade Fire have announced details of an upcoming tour of North America.

Beginning with an appearance at the Quebec City Summer Festival on July 12, the summer jaunt will end with a show at Olympic Island in Ontario on August 14.

Prior to the gig-run the band are set play two nights at Quebec‘s Granada Theatre on June 7 and 8, before heading to Europe to perform at a series of festivals, including Ireland’s Oxegen.

As previously reported, last week the Canadian group issued a 12-inch double A-side single ‘The Suburbs’/’Month Of May’, while they are set to release their third album ‘The Suburbs’, in the UK on August 2 and in North America on August 3.

Meanwhile, Arcade Fire will head to the UK to play this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals in August.
