Arcade Fire record soundtrack for ‘Donnie Darko’ director’s new film

Band will record soundtrack to 'The Box'

Arcade Fire are recording the film soundtrack to ‘Donnie Darko’ director Richard Kelly‘s next film ‘The Box’.

The film will star Cameron Diaz and James Marsden.

For the soundtrack Arcade Fire are working with producer Markus Dravs, who most recently worked with Coldplay on their upcoming ‘Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends’ album.

The band’s film score was being kept quiet, that is until Dravs posted on his website: “Having finished Coldplay‘s forthcoming album ‘Viva La Vida’ – now off to Canada to work with Arcade Fire on a soundtrack for the forthcoming Richard Kelly film.”

The flick currently being edited, with the intention of a release later in the year, reports Angry Ape.
