Arcade Fire’s Win Butler and Miguel cover ‘Hotline Bling’ – watch

The pair jammed it out at Okeechobee Festival this weekend

Arcade Fire‘s Win Butler was joined live by Miguel, among others, to cover Drake‘s ‘Hotline Bling’ live this weekend.

The two singers – who are co-creative directors of the PoWoW! jam at Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival in Florida – performed the cover with John Oates (of Hall & Oates fame) and jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington (watch fan footage below).

Over the course of the evening the supergroup were also joined by Mumford and Sons frontman Marcus Mumford to cover ‘Rock the Casbah’ by The Clash and ‘Let’s Groove’ by Earth Wind & Fire.

The setlist, which Arcade Fire posted afterwards, included songs by David Bowie, Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.

Last week (27 February) it was announced that Win Butler and the rest of Arcade Fire will receive a humanitarian award.

The band will receive the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award at the 2016 Juno Gala Dinner & Awards, which takes place in Calgary on April 2, one day before the main awards ceremony.

As Pitchfork reported, the group have raised around £6.9m ($9.6m), helped train volunteers and “engaged over 500,000 fans in the fight for the people of Haiti”.

In a statement, band member Régine Chassagne said: “It is an honour. We are very thankful. It helps us continue the work.”
