Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner quashes Glastonbury show rumour

The band are on site - but singer says they won’t play

Arctic MonkeysAlex Turner has quashed rumours of the band possibly playing a secret show at Glastonbury this weekend (June 24-26).

Whispers about the Sheffield band possibly strapping on their instruments for a show at Worthy Farm flared up after the band members arrived on the festival site earlier in the day. Example complained about them stealing his tourbus parking space.

But although the Monkeys are on site, Turner has now told NME that they won’t be playing a show there.

Radiohead, however, are due to play a surprise show at the bash today, having only confirmed they were set to play this morning.
