'Raunchy' short film for new single gets thumbs up from fans
The video for Arctic Monkeys’ latest single ‘Suck It And See’ emerged, and like many of the Sheffield quartet’s promos, it’s a hit with fans.
The film sees drummer Matt Helders romping with a scantily clad model and, according to the production company that made it, was inspired by ‘lost weekends’ in Los Angeles.
Clark Crosby wrote: “Matt Helders – drumming behemoth and all-round hero,” while George Miller added: “I think we now know what Arctic Monkeys really meant by ‘Suck It And See’.”
Daniel Luscombe summed it up in one word, saying simply: “Brilliant.”
Finally, Stephane Ruscher commented: “Funny simple album cover, great title track and now great sexy video, calling the whole thing ‘Suck It And See’ was definitely an awesome idea!”
Breana McDow, meanwhile, the actress and model that features in the video, says she’s been getting great feedback for her role.
:And yes, @matthelders was great to work with / beat the shit out of. x
Arctic Monkeys begin a US and Canadian tour later this month (September) and return to the UK for arena shows beginning in Nottingham on October 28. The band then head to Australia for a series of shows throughout December and January 2012.
