Arctic Monkeys countdown to album release

NME.COM will be in Sheffield with the band to bring you all the action

Arctic Monkeys are counting down to release of their second album ’Favourite Worst Nightmare’ with a pair of hometown shows this weekend (April 21-22).

The band return to their native Sheffield for two shows at the Leadmill venue on Saturday and Sunday ahead of the album’s release on Monday (April 23) – and NME.COM will be there to bring you all the action.

We’ll bring you a news report from their first homecoming gig on Saturday (April 21), then the next night we go live with a special blog to mark the album’s release.

We’ll bring you all the action from the gig, before heading to the city’s Fopp record shop which is opening at midnight so fans can get hold of ’Favourite Worst Nightmare’ at the first available opportunity.
