Arctic Monkeys gigs targeted by touts

Tickets for band's spring tour appear on auction sites

Tickets for Arctic Monkeys’ spring tour have appeared on online auction sites despite the band’s efforts to stop touting.

As previously reported, the band tried to limit sales of their tickets to real fans, by selling them to members of their mailing list-only late last week (March 23).

However, despite the band’s best intentions, pairs of tickets for the shows are up for grabs on online auction sites at inflated prices – in some cases between £150 and £200.

It’s not yet clear whether or not the group will be able to counter the touting.

The band’s sold-out tour features the following dates:

Southampton Guildhall (April 9)

Exeter University Great Hall (10)

London Astoria (12, 13)

Liverpool Carling Academy (14)

Newcastle Carling Academy (16)

Dundee Caird Hall (17)

Glasgow Barrowlands (18)

Birmingham Carling Academy (20)

Sheffield The Leadmill (21, 22)

Arctic Monkeys release their second album ’Favourite Worst Nightmare’ on April 23.
