Ash to headline Headstock Festival to help ex-miners

Band offer to aid ex-mining village in Nottingham

Ash are set to headline a new festival in order to help the residents of an ex-mining village.

The band will top the bill at the Headstock Festival at the Newstead and Annesley Country Park, near Nottingham, on September 11. All proceeds from the gig will go to helping the community, which is still struggling to recover from pit closures.

Other acts confirmed for the one day event include Field Music, The Beat, Penguin Café Orchestra and Edward II. For more information go to headstockfestival.com.
