Band prepare for album sessions with gig

Ash are set to play a intimate show at The Annex in New York on October 5.

As previously reported, the band are currently working on their new album – which they’re calling their “best album yet” – in the city.

Speaking about the release, Ash explained on their MySpace page that: “the overall sound of the album is kinda hard to describe but it’s very melodic, all the backing tracks are being cut live and it’s got a great feel.”

They also released the following list of tracks that they are recording for the record, although not all will feature on the finished album:

‘The Girl Who Can’t Be Owned’

‘You Can’t Have It All’

‘Suicide Girls’

‘Polaris’

‘Roulette’

‘Princess Six’

‘Shadows’

‘What Is The Meaning?’

‘Blacklisted’

‘Saskia’

‘Shattered Glass’

‘Dark And Stormy’

‘End Of The World’

‘In Hell’

The record, Ash‘s fifth studio LP and the follow-up to 2004’s ‘Meltdown’, will be released next year.
