TOMORROW’S ER, ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES

Before the dust has even settled, the next Bowlie...

Neil Young, Kraftwerk and Autechre are being invited to play the next ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES festival in April 2001, nme.com can reveal.

Chicago’s Tortoise will work hand-in-hand with promoters Foundation in picking the bill, following the success of Mogwai‘s event, held at Camber Sands Holiday Centre on April 7-9.

Foundation‘s Barry Hogan told nme.com: “Tortoise have already given me their wish list and there are some juicy names on it. The ethos of ATP is to promote bands whose influence extends beyond the mainstream. We want the interesting rather than the mundane.”

It’s now strongly rumoured that Shellac will curate the festival in 2002.

Hogan continued: “Shellac loved this year’s festival. They made an approach immediately after their set and gave me their ideal bill the next morning. It too is very interesting and not what you would expect.”
