Avenged Sevenfold have scored their first ever UK Number One Album with ‘Hail To The King’.
The US rockers have ended Britain’s Got Talent duo Richard and Adam’s three-week reign at the top. ‘Hail To The King’ is Avenged Sevenfold’s sixth studio album, and their highest charting full-length to date in the UK, according to the Official Charts Company.
Naughty Boy’s ‘Hotel Cabana’ is at Number Two, Ellie Goulding‘s Halycon is at Number Three and Richard and Adam’s ‘The Impossible Dream’ is at Number Four. Bob Dylan’s ‘Another Self Portrait – 1969-1971’ is new in at Number Five.
Elsewhere, Franz Ferdinand‘s new album ‘Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action’ is at Number Six, while Stereophonics best of collection, ‘Decade In The Sun’, re-enters the chart at Number 21.
Meanwhile, in the Official UK Singles Chart, Ellie Goulding has held the Number One sport for a third week running with ‘Burn’. The singer knocked Miley Cyrus’ ‘We Can’t Stop’ off Number One last month to score her first ever chart topper.
Avicii’s ‘Wake Me Up’ continues to hold firm at Number Two, Klangkarussell’s ‘Sonnentanz (Sun Don’t Shine)’ is at Number Three, Lana Del Rey‘s ‘Summertime Sadness’ is at Number Four and Miley Cyrus’ ‘We Can’t Stop’ completes this week’s Number Five.
Elsewhere, Rizzle Kicks bag their fifth Top 10 hit with ‘Lost Generation (6), Bastille climb 13 places to Number 39 with ‘Things We Lost In The Fire’ and Kanye West‘s ‘Gold Digger’ re-enters the chart at Number 40.
