Hear rapper's fashion-show soundtrack now

Azealia Banks has posted her new track ‘Bambi’ online – scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to listen.

Pitchfork reports that the latest offering from the rapper was used as the soundtrack to a Paris fashion show for the clothing line Mugler, whose creative director is Lady Gaga‘s stylist Nicola Formichetti.

Yesterday, it was revealed that Banks had signed a record deal with Universal Music. The star, who was crowned Number One in NME’s Cool List last year, said on Twitter: “God just dealt me a new hand today a reaaaaaaaaaaallllly good hand. I am now officially signed to Universal Music.”

Banks, who is currently working on her debut LP in London and New York with Paul Epworth, also said that the record is likely to drop in May or June.

Banks will play a headline show at London’s Heaven venue on February 27.

Before her London show, Azealia Banks will appear as the opening act on the 2012 NME Awards Tour. Two Door Cinema Club will headline the tour, with Metronomy and Tribes also on the bill.

The tour kicks off in Glasgow at the O2 Academy on February 8 – it then takes in dates in Newcastle, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, Norwich, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol and Bournemouth, before finishing up at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 25.
