Rapper also appears to reveal she will play Coachella
Azealia Banks has appeared to confirm that she will perform at Glastonbury festival this year.
The ‘212’ rapper tweeted a number of messages about upcoming festival appearances over the weekend, mentioning Glastonbury and Coachella by name and stating: “I am addicted to the stage!”
She is the second act to reveal their appearance on the Glastonbury line-up prior to an official announcement, with Alt-J letting slip the same news at the Brit Awards in February.
Banks also recently revealed on Twitter that she is working with Ariel Pink and that the pair have been spending time in the studio together. It’s not clear whether any product of the collaboration will feature on her constantly delayed debut LP ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’, although a new single ‘Yung Rapunzel’ is slated for release on March 26.
Azealia Banks has revealed two cover versions in recent weeks, sharing her versions of Baauer’s ‘Harlem Shake’ and ‘Barely Legal’ by The Strokes ahead of her debut album release.
Glastonbury takes place between June 26-30 at Worthy Farm, Pilton is Somerset.
