Doherty is due to play a handful of solo shows next year, including an acoustic set at London’s Brixton Jamm on January 21. He’s also scheduled to play three gigs in Italy, kicking off in Rome on February 9, before taking in shows in Brescia (10) and Bologna (11).

He also filmed his acting debut in Confessions Of A Young Contemporary, an adaption of Alfred de Musset’s autobiographical novel La Confession d’un Enfant du Siècle, in France earlier this year.

Meanwhile, McConnell was hospitalised earlier this year after being involved in a road accident. He broke his ribs and injured his spine after being knocked off his bike.

Babyshambles haven’t officially released any music for over 18 months. Their last release was a 7″ vinyl only single of ‘Side Of The Road’ as part of Record Store Day in 2010. Doherty put out a solo album, ‘Grace/Wastelands’, in 2009.
