PETE TAKES TO STREETS!

The star says that the show must go on…

PETE DOHERTY is to play solo when he supports Streets tomorrow night (March 11) at LONDON’s ALEXANDRA PALACE.

The star was originally due to appear with Babyshambles, but as reported by NME.COM, the band were forced to pull out due to a “sudden bereavement” of the family of drummer Adam Ficek.

Doherty has said: “After a lot of consideration I have decided that I don’t want to let the fans down and so will go ahead with the show on my own.”

The original statement from Babyshambles read: “It is with great regret that we have had to cancel this show. Out of respect for Adam and his family we decided that it would not be the right thing to go ahead with it.

“We apologise to all our fans and hope they understand the band’s decision. We also request that at this extremely difficult time that the privacy of Adam and their family and friends is respected. Our thoughts are with them.”
