PETE CHARGED

The singer is due in court later today...

PETE DOHERTY has been charged with blackmail and robbery following his arrest earlier this week.

Doherty has been held in a north London police station throughout the day after an alleged incident in a hotel in the city.

A lawyer acting on behalf of Doherty, and a second man Alan Wass, announced this evening that both will face two charges.

He said: “(Pete) has been charged with two offences, one of blackmail, and one of robbery. They will be appearing at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (February 4) and they’ve been remanded in custody by police.”
