TOP – THE BOY?

A1 face a battle to hold on to the top spot...

Badly Drawn Boy, former chart-topper SONIQUE and *NSYNC are among the acts releasing new singles today (September 4).

Also looking for places in Sunday’s (September 10) Top 40 will be Richard Blackwood and Slipknot.

Sonique will attempt to take ‘Sky’ to number one three months after Trans-Atlantic smash ‘It Feels So Good’, while Badly Drawn Boy is joined by former backing band and fellow Mercury Prize nominees Doves to bolster ‘Disillusion’. *NSYNC hope ‘It’s Gonna Be Me’ will see another boy band to the top of the chart.

Richard Blackwood‘s ‘1234 Get With The Wicked’, Reading Festival favourites Slipknot with ‘Spit It Out’ and Manchild featuring Stereophonics’ Kelly Jones with ‘The Clichis Are True’ will all also be hoping for a place on the top 40.

On the album chart, Underworld‘s live album ‘Everything Everything’ will be hoping to knock Robbie Williams’ off the top spot, while other significant releases appear from Two Lone Swordsmen with ‘Tiny Reminders’, Sizzla with ‘Bobo Ashanti’ and Deejay Punk-Roc with ‘Spoiling It For Everyone’.
