Badly Drawn Boy tours for charity

With new album on the way

Badly Drawn Boy is to donate proceeds from his tour to Oxfam.

The singer-songwriter’s September jaunt will see £1 of every ticket sold going to Oxfam.

His new album ’Born In The UK’ is released on October 16.

His support for Oxfam comes in advance of Oxjam, the charity’s month of music events in October. Go to Oxfam.org.uk/oxjam for more information.

Badly Drawn Boy said: “Oxjam offers the chance for thousands of people to use music to achieve something together, which is an idea that gets me excited.

“No matter how small your event, you’ll be forming a part of the biggest music festival this country has ever seen. I’d encourage everyone to get involved if they can – it’s as simple as picking up a guitar.”

The tour will call at:

Nottingham Rescue Rooms (September 8)

Glasgow King Tut’s (9)

Dublin The Village (11)

Oxford Zodiac (13)
