THE BOY’S LIMITED CHRISTMAS

The limited-edition effort won't be challenging Robbie though...

Badly Drawn Boy DAMON GOUGH is set to release a Christmas single on December 17 – but he won’t be challenging Robbie Williams for the lucrative chart-topping spot.

Only 1,000 copies of the seasonally titled ‘Donna and Blitzen’ will be made available, all of them on 7″ vinyl through Twisted Nerve/XL Recordings.

The track is the first to be culled from the soundtrack to forthcoming feature film ‘About A Boy’. The soundtrack is due for release in late March. Badly Drawn Boy has been working on the project – his first major work since 2000’s Mercury winning debut ‘The Hour Of Bewilderbeast’ in Los Angeles with Beck and Elliott Smith producer Tom Rothrock. Badly Drawn Boy has scored the entire film including several new songs and the incidental music.

A single will precede the album in early March. Based on Nick Hornby’s best selling book, ‘About A Boy’ stars Hugh Grant and Rachel Weisz. It will be released sometime next year.
