The dance duo reveal they'll be heading to Worthy Farm in the summer...
BASEMENT JAXX have announced that they will be playing at this summer’s GLASTONBURY festival – the first act to do so this year.
The duo are currently getting ready to set off Down Under for the Big Day Out festival, before returning to these shores for a full UK tour in March.
However, the Jaxx are planning to spice up their live show, following the release of their latest album ‘Kish Kash’ at the end of last year.
Felix Buxton said: “We’ve got a drummer and Simon (Ratcliffe) plays guitar in most of the set and there’s more vocalists, so it’s less of a show and more of a live band musical experience. And live visually it’s taking things to the next level as well.”
He told Radio 1: “We’re at the front of the stage doing a bit of a guitar solo in a snakeskin thong, it’s really raw. The ladies – you’ve got to watch out in the front row, you’re gonna get some serious sweat going from all parts of the body.”
The UK tour dates are:
Glasgow Academy (March 12)
Manchester Apollo (13)
Nottingham Rock City (15)
Newport Live Arena (16)
London Brixton Academy (19)
