'Weird Science' star Kelly Le Brock appeared with the band
Bastille offered a special performance of their hit ‘Good Grief’ on US TV’s Ellen yesterday (Wednesday, October 12), joined by surprise guest Kelly Le Brock.
The band’s second album ‘Wild World’ recently entered the UK albums chart at Number One. ‘Good Grief’ peaked at Number 13 on the singles chart.
During their Ellen performance, 80s cult film star Le Brock appeared, reciting the Weird Science movie clips that Bastille sample on the song. Watch beneath.
The band recently spoke to NME about their film sample usage, saying: “Kelly Le Brock was bang up for being on the album”.
Dan explained: “She was like, if you guys ever want me to come and play live with you, I’ll be there at the drop of a hat. We were like, ‘what!’ Um, so yeah that I mean, that might happen.”
The band recently shared the video for ‘Send Them Off!’. The darkly provocative clip, described as a “very modern twist on Dante’s Divine Comedy”, sees the band channel infamous Nicole Kidman/Tom Cruise erotic drama Eyes Wide Shut as well as classic horror movie Rosemary’s Baby.
