Singer also reveals he believes his brother had 'had enough of Oasis'

Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher has said he won’t be attending his brother Noel‘s wedding to Sara MacDonald tomorrow (June 18) as he has overseas touring commitments already booked.

Speaking to the Chicago Sun Times, the frontman also said he believes Oasis‘ split can be put down to his brother’s desire to be a solo star, as he’d “had enough” of Oasis.

On whether he would be attending Noel‘s nuptials, Gallagher replied: “No, I’m busy playing gigs in Chicago. He goes on about how he wasn’t invited to my wedding. No one was at my wedding but Nic’s [wife Nicole Appleton] mum and my mum. Get over it, mate. I’ve not been invited to his wedding.”

Gallagher also said he believed that Oasis ended as his brother wanted the limelight to himself. He added: “Noel wanted to be a solo star. I think he honestly had enough of Oasis and wasn’t getting his own way and wanted to do his own thing. He wanted to sing all his own songs and take all the glory. Let him go do it.”

The singer added that he thought his brother’s solo career would be good, but it wouldn’t be a patch on Beady Eye. He added: “I’m sure he’ll be fucking great, but there’s a lot fucking more lacking in a Noel Gallagher gig, a lot more missing in his stuff than in ours.”

Oasis was the best band in the world till Beady Eye. We’ll take it over. Noel can’t do it by himself.”

Beady Eye play Reading And Leeds Festivals in August.
